Love my shifter! Feels great and has a sturdy build quality. I’ve been using it just over a week now and it’s been great. Shipping was fast and the seller was very polite and communicated when it was shipped and to make sure everything was good. I like the bonus stickers, too!
Order came fast, quality is top notch and I'd definitely order again. It's been about 2-3 weeks since using this and I think it's finally been broken in enough to a point where shifts feel GOOD. I mean REALLY good. Been ripping LA canyons with a Miata and this shifter has basically changed the game in terms of immersion and overall feel. I enjoy shifting now as opposed to being worried about whether or not my shifts would be right, sound good, or just overall fall off my mount. 5/5 would buy again.
Bought this just to try since it was within my budget. I like it almost as much as shifters that cost 3-4 times the price. The shifting is accurate and the QC is solid.
Not only does the price support the quality but it is very smooth and works as intended. My only complaint is that I must be very deliberate with my shifts and work hard to train my muscle memory into not shifting into the wrong gear, there is a slip into reverse and 4th when I try to slip into 6th, and sometimes other gears, simply due to how smooth the shifter is out the box, I hope over time this changes but for now, everything works well.

The OB1 shifter was a tremendous upgrade from my g27, and a much more affordable option to simagic. The shifts feel realistic and immersive with no calibration issues.
This would have been 5 stars if it were not for two things. First, I could not get the product to align centered to the 6R-UP top plate as seen in the picture that is as close as I could get to being centered with my unit. Second, my unit came with only two out of the 4 screws installed holding the bottom plate to the side walls of the unit. I had to use some M3-14 screws I had at my house to replace the other two missing screws. As a side bar for information, when I went to align the unit, I realized that "Heavy Installed" came with two green springs and two red springs installed. The two green springs impacted the gate and the two red impact the throw from side-to-side. I assumed that it would have come with four green springs installed, but that wasn't the case.
Feels extremely mechanical, very similar to the AKG shifter in my track car.
This is the final piece to my rig at this moment in time and I'm super stoked on it. Got it plugged in and set up to run Asseto Corsa no problem. Few things that were less than perfect: 1) Took a couple weeks to get this, I ordered it right before Christmas holiday so be aware it may take a while if you do same 2) I took top cover off to inspect and one of the inserts where screw goes in came loose, not a big deal but caught me off guard 3) No instructions or install recommendations came with it just a bunch of hardware 4) The shift knob has a fairly large threaded hole, one of the included plastic adapters that was closest fit to the shifter fit ok and that gets threaded onto shift lever, the shift knob doesn't have a solid "feel" this way, it has a bit of a wobble to it Other than that it works great takes the driving experience to the next level for me it really feels like a real car!
This shifter is hands down the best H-pattern shifter I’ve used. The shifting feel is exactly what I was looking for. Each gear engagement is firm, mechanical, and extremely satisfying. I went with the medium springs and the resistance feels perfect not too light, not too stiff. Slamming through gears feels amazing!
The only negative thing. The nut in the bottom holding the gear-lever came loose, there wasn’t enough thread for the for nylon in the locknut. So I replaced the 2 washers with thinner ones and haven’t had a problem since. Also windows for some reason installed the wrong driver profile. After getting the above sorted it’s been happy days 10/10. Thinking about buying again for the second rigg although it got quite expensive with the import tax. But its got a way nicer shift feeling than my old newt shifter
I received the 7+R with the heavy springs installed and it’s great! Great shifter knob, materials, and fantastic for the price.
Love this! Night and day compared to my TH8 that I use to use (that even had a mod that made it shift nicer). This shifter feels very close to something that feels real. Punches way above its weight. Mod quality and presentation is first class. Is a joy to use, and really immersive. I have 100% confidence in this, and if the shifter itself ever fails, I only need to buy the cheap stock version of the shifter and move the mod components over, making it a very cheap replacement if anything goes wrong. Also, the mod includes a removable USB cable vs the original hard wired cable, which is a nice bonus. Thank you Old Boy for developing this mod for such a fantastic affordable shifter.
For the price you cannot beat this shifter it honestly feel really good I def recommend getting one
Feels premium. Looks premium. It has a nice thud with shifting. Not super loud. Love it!
I got this shifter to see if I enjoyed racing with one or not, and didn't want to spend a lot of money to test one out. The H-pattern shifter with a clutch is a ton of fun in i-racing. I just wish more cars had the h shifter availability. And the stronger springs in the Old Boy shifter is awesome. You can really jam it into gesar and throw the stick around. So far so good!

Very impressed with your OB1 shifter. Having not had an H-pattern sim shifter before I was looking for something that fit my budget but delivered on quality. Your product has exceeded my expectations.
I absolutely love it. The added gift was a very nice touch. The heavy springs make for an awesome shifting experience. Honestly if this thing bit the dust I would buy another one ASAP. This feels like a very premium product for a perfect price. James was super cool and answered all of my questions. If you are worried about quality control don’t be. I swear each unit is assembled with love. Keep up the good work OBSR, I’m honored to be a customer and a member of this community.
Love works great, it's literally plug and play. I'm not a gamer but I'm an automotive enthusiasts. So I figured I'd give sim racing ago for those rainy days. I don't know much about computer hardware or software but this was easy even I could set it up with a fanatec clubsport set up. Only complaint is i wish it had some type of internal lockout for the sequential mode instead of the lil plastic peace but that's just small stuff. I advise and recommend get this shifter over a the others the price is right no fails or misses. IT JUST WORKS. Keep it up

Overall the quality is good. For $100 it’s hard to find anything else just as good. I believe the shift gates can use a softer bump stops as I find them to be a little too stiff when the shifter lands in them. Otherwise, this is a great feeling product for the price.

The shipping took a little time but I'm reviewing the product not the shipping carrier. Shifter feels nice, seems fairly sturdy. For the price it's definitely an upgrade over any AliExpress shifter and just as good as some more expensive ones. Has parts to make it a sequential setup so that definitely adds to the value as well. I think if you are looking for a budget friendly shifter you can't go wrong either this one.

really great mod. could be more upfront that is a chinese temu that's 20 euros which you modify. I could have just bought the orginal and your mod and saved 100 euros. probably my fault though. also the sequentail shifting did not work properly until i modified the plastic part. otherwise a shifter that seems to outdo the expensive mainstream
I recently upgraded to the OB1 H-Pattern shifter from a standard Logitech, and the difference in tactile feel is night and day. The Logitech shifter basically has non-existent weight compared to this. With the OB1, you actually have to put some force into your shifts, giving it a much more authentic, mechanical feel. The noise is incredibly satisfying, and it takes to mods perfectly without any issues. Overall, this is an amazing budget-friendly option for anyone looking to step up their sim setup.
The 7 speed hate feels like it will break any moment when shifting into 7th and its awfully easy to misshift with it
Its seems like a nice shifter with the mods. But i dislike the stiffness. Even with the medium springs its overly stiff. Thought the springs that were originally in it would come with it.
I would like for a way to add a shift boot cover to the shifter. The boot would help to keep dust and pet fur, for those like myself who have pets, out of the mechanism inside. These things can cause the lubricant to become sticky instead.

Plug n play, perfect budget shifter for people just getting into the hobby. Only issue I had was the screws on the faceplate were a little loose, but after tightening them down a little it works great
Bought as a gift for my boyfriend Feels super solid and is definitely a huge upgrade from his cheap Logitech shifter. I opted for the blue aluminum spherical shift knob with it and it's great, better machined than I was expecting. The plastic thread adapters for the shift knob it comes with are the least well made part, they clearly have spots for a wrench to turn them, but the plastic is too soft and just deforms. I found it best to thread the shift knob onto the adapter, and use the knon as a handle to turn the adapter as you thread it onto the shaft.
